Confronting the Holocaust.
Documents on the Polish Government-in-Exile's Policy Concerning Jews 1939–1945

On 1 April 2025, the University of Latvia in Riga hosted a book launch and panel discussion on the volume Confronting the Holocaust: Documents on the Polish Government-in-Exile's Policy Concerning Jews 1939-1945. The event featured speakers such as Piotr Długołęcki (Polish Institute of International Affairs, editor-in-chief of the Polish Diplomatic Documents series), Ēriks Jēkabsons (University of Latvia), Didzis Bērziņš (University of Latvia), and Kristīne Beķere (Institute of Latvian History), with Iļja Ļenskis (Museum "Jews in Latvia") moderating the discussion. The panel explored the historical and diplomatic significance of the documents, which relate to the Polish government's actions towards the Jewish population during World War II.
